What Cosmetic Dentistry Looks Like at Tangmere

Cosmetic dentistry is the part of what we do where the goal is the way your smile looks, as well as how it works. Whiter teeth, straighter teeth, a better shape, a more even smile line, less visible filling work, fuller lips, fewer lines around the mouth. None of it is essential, but all of it can make a real difference to how confident you feel.
Our approach is deliberately understated. We aim for results that look natural, not artificial. We don't think a smile should announce itself. Most of our cosmetic work is the kind people notice without being able to say what's changed.
Everything is done in-house by clinicians who've trained specifically in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. Our principal dentist is a member of the British Society of Cosmetic Dentistry, and our facial aesthetics work is based on training at the Bob Khanna Institute, one of the leading aesthetic training programmes in the UK.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Dentistry

Not the way we do it. We aim for natural-looking results. We design veneers, crowns and whitening to match the rest of your features rather than to stand out. Most people will notice you look better without being able to say exactly why.

We start with a cosmetic consultation. We talk through what bothers you, look at the options realistically, and where useful we'll show you a digital preview of the proposed result. You don't commit to anything at this stage.

Yes. We always treat any underlying decay, gum disease or bite issues first. Cosmetic work placed over an unhealthy mouth doesn't last. Once you're stable, the cosmetic stage produces much better results.

It depends on the treatment. Cerec ceramic veneers and crowns last roughly 20 years with good care. Whitening lasts 1-3 years depending on diet and lifestyle, and is easy to top up. Teeth straightening takes around six months for the average case, longer for complex cases. Facial aesthetics last 3-12 months depending on the treatment.

Often, yes. Many of our smile makeover patients combine whitening, Invisalign and one or two ceramic veneers to get the result they're after. We plan the order so each treatment builds on the last.

Yes. We offer payment options including 0% finance over various terms for larger treatments. We'll go through the figures and the options at your consultation.
