What Denplan Essentials Is For
Denplan Essentials is the simpler of the two main Denplan adult plans. The monthly payment covers the regular preventive care that most healthy patients need - check-ups and hygiene visits - and nothing else. If you do need a filling, a crown, or any other treatment, that's charged separately at our standard private fees.
For patients with stable teeth and a low risk of needing significant work, Essentials is usually the more cost-effective choice. You get the predictability and discipline of monthly preventive care without paying for coverage you're unlikely to use.
For patients with more complex dental histories - existing crowns, multiple fillings, ongoing gum management - the full Denplan Care plan often works out cheaper across the year, because the included treatment costs you'd otherwise pay separately add up. We'll help you decide which is right for you.

A Family-Run Practice You Can Trust
Tangmere Dental Care has been caring for patients in Tangmere, near Chichester, since 1988. We're a family-run independent practice just off the A27, with easy access from Arundel, Bognor Regis, Emsworth and Portsmouth, set in a quiet rural location with a large free car park.
Because we have a low turnover of staff, you see the same clinician year after year, which means real continuity of care. Our treatment rooms are modern and fully equipped, so most advanced treatments can be completed on site in one place.
We welcome patients from Chichester, Arundel, Bognor Regis, Portsmouth, Selsey, Emsworth, Westhampnett and surrounding PO20 areas.

We can confirm the exact fee at your assessment - it's set based on the number of routine examinations and hygiene visits your dentist recommends for you. Most patients fall within a similar fee range.
Yes. Extra hygiene visits beyond what's included in your plan are available at our standard private hygiene fees. Some patients with active gum disease may need more frequent visits initially, which is worth budgeting for.
Not under Essentials. Treatment work is charged separately at our standard private fees. If you find yourself needing frequent treatment, it's worth talking to us about switching to the Care plan - the maths often works out better.
Usually yes. The plan covers your regular check-ups and hygiene at a cost-effective monthly rate, and you get the worldwide emergency cover as a benefit. Even patients who never need a filling get the regular maintenance that keeps things that way.
